BUYER RFQ WORKSHEET

How to Write a Travel Adapter RFQ That Gets a Useful Quote

This template comes from LONGRICH POWER, a travel adapter manufacturer in Dongguan, China since 2002: MOQ 1,000 pcs, or 500 pcs on existing models with your logo and neutral packaging; samples ship in about 3 days.

Send a project brief that separates confirmed requirements from open questions: destination markets, model or device needs, quantity per model, logo and packaging scope, documentation requests, and sample and production milestones. Ask the supplier to return the proposed configuration, exclusions and unresolved questions alongside its quotation. Use the template below to make different replies easier to compare.

Define the scope before asking for a quote

Start with the current travel adapter platforms if you already have a model in mind. For an undecided project, describe the devices and destination markets instead of assuming a headline output figure defines the whole product. Use the OEM / ODM development guide to separate an existing-model request from a new design brief.

Keep quantities and timing tied to the actual scope

LONGRICH's standard MOQ is 1,000 pcs. Existing models with your logo and neutral packaging start from 500 pcs; mixed-model orders require at least 500 pcs per model. Do not treat a combined order total as a substitute for each model's minimum. For a different packaging or design scope, ask for review rather than assuming the same starting quantity. See the MOQ decision guide.

Existing-model product samples ship in about 3 days, excluding packaging. Samples are charged and credited back on the bulk order, with freight paid by the buyer. Mass production takes about 35 days for 1,000–5,000 pcs and about 40 days above 5,000 pcs. Ask for a project-specific schedule, particularly for quantities outside those stated production bands; do not use production time as a promised arrival date.

Please reply with:
- Proposed model and configuration, with a specification sheet
- MOQ and customization scope for each model
- Included work, exclusions and open questions
- Sample terms and dispatch estimate
- Production schedule and its starting milestone
- Available documentation and its model/configuration coverage
- Quotation assumptions, delivery scope and validity

Please identify any requirement that needs separate review.

Before sending, use the quality and testing resources to decide which evidence to request. Attach the drawings or artwork you already have; describe anything still in progress in the brief.

A brief is not an approved specification

A brief records what you need; it is not an agreed specification. Treat each requested feature as open until the supplier confirms the configuration in writing and you approve the specification sheet and sample.

For a model with an applicable report, ask for the UL 62368-1 test report (not UL Listed) and verify the exact coverage. Reports are issued by independent third-party labs; availability and coverage must be checked for the proposed model. Do not convert a report request into a blanket certification claim for the product range.

Review the reply before approving a sample

  • Check that the returned model and configuration match the brief.
  • Match quantities and customization scope line by line.
  • Keep assumptions, exclusions and unanswered questions visible.
  • Separate sample dispatch, sample approval, production and transport dates.
  • Request clarification of missing evidence before treating a requirement as confirmed.
  • Save the agreed specification and artwork revision with your approval record.

Buyer FAQ

What if I have not chosen a model?

Describe the destination markets, devices used together, port needs and customization scope. Ask the supplier to propose a platform and list any assumptions before you approve a sample.

Can I request an existing model with my logo from 500 pcs?

Yes. The confirmed starting path is an existing model with your logo and neutral packaging, from 500 pcs. Standard MOQ is 1,000 pcs; mixed-model orders require at least 500 pcs per model. Ask for separate review of other customization or packaging requirements.

How should I separate sample timing from production timing?

Existing-model product samples ship in about 3 days, excluding packaging. Samples are charged and credited back on the bulk order; the buyer pays freight. Mass production takes about 35 days for 1,000–5,000 pcs and about 40 days above 5,000 pcs. Ask the supplier to confirm the schedule for your actual scope; these are not arrival dates.

Does a report request confirm coverage for my project?

No. Ask for the report for the exact proposed model and configuration, and have its scope reviewed against your project requirements. A report request or a general capability page is not evidence that your final configuration is covered.

Send the completed brief for review

Paste your completed brief into the project details of our quote form, or send it on WhatsApp with any drawings or artwork. If you are considering NT009-ALL, the first button below pre-fills the model; we still confirm whether it suits your requirements before quoting.
